Chorus of Fools is offering a 3-hour audition workshop, led by local theatre artist, e.k. doolin, that focuses on preparing for auditions.

This is an acting workshop geared toward all levels of experience. Participants will work on exercises that enhance characterization, objectives, actions, beats and pre-beats, given circumstances, and audition etiquette and preparedness.

Participants should bring in whatever audition material they have, including:

  • Headshot/Resume (this can be electronically submitted prior to the workshop)

  • Monologues that they already use and have memorized

  • OR monologues/sides/scenes that they are interested in working on

  • Material should be from either plays or musicals*

*No songs for this workshop, but the scene or monologue can be from a musical.
**This is a theatre-specific workshop, not geared toward on-camera work

However, none of the above material is required. We will provide examples for headshots and resumes, as well as monologues and scenes that can be used in the workshop.

This workshop is intended for adults.
